Ever have a killer headache and hadn't had any pills on you to subdue it, now you wont need them. Chinese believe that all headaches can be cured by knowing the pressure points that take them away. Chinese have been using pressure points to relieve headaches for over 2000 years.
Many headaches start because of stress, overwork, menopause, worry etc. they can also come in many different forms like Temple headaches, Fatigue headaches, Anxiety headaches, Tension headaches and Stiff neck headaches.
This pressure relief point takes temple and side of the head, headaches away.
"Use your thumbs to press and rub the two depressions at the base of your skull. Close your eyes and focus on the points as you press them. Press upwards in the direction of your eyes. Use as much pressure as you’re comfortable with, then while holding the pressure rub in a very small circular motion for 1-2 minutes. Gently release the pressure. Repeat 3-4 times a day and whenever you have a headache."
Personally i don't really ever get headaches so i haven't been able to try this out yet but next time a get one i am definitely going to try it. I have my doubts on how good it actually works but by all means if you are reading this and get headaches regularly, try it out i would love to find out if it worked for you.

Way to break away from the drugs! It's good to see us breaking away from our dependency on prescription pills and over-the-counter drugs to solve all our medical problems. Using pressure points is much easier on your body and it's free! I also like how you put a way to relieve headaches on there. I will try this method the next time I get a migrane!
Hey Ian! I loved your blog and I am definitely going to try that technique next time, because I am not a fan of taking medicine for every little ache and pain. I believe the society we live in is medicine crazy and people tend to abuse it for minor aches and pains. I'm not saying I never use medicine, but only under extreme circumstances when I'm really sick. Other than that I leave the treatment up to my body and put those white blood cells to work! Natural treatments are also a great way to save money. Prescription drugs are an increasing concern for Americans today! Newer drugs often are patent protected and do not have a genetic equivalent, leaving many with no choice but to purchase the high-cost brand name medication.
This is very interesting! I get headaches once in a while and will def. Try this technique. I also heard that rubbing the area between your thumb and pointer finger helps relieve headaches? That could be one to try also. Good blog...thanks!
I found this post to be very because I hate taking medicine unless i absoluteley have to. I've done research and read books on it, and although it gives you a temporary fix, it doesn't solve the initial problem. In fact, it only causes more future problems and side effects in different areas of your body. Opposingly, I found that advil and tylenol could serve heart health benefits if you took it daily like a vitamin. Who knows there's always different sides to every theory. However, I'm still not a fan of any pill and I'd rather stick with the hollistic approaches, so thank you for the new tip.
Wow very interesting topic. I can now save a couple extra bucks at cvs. Using pressure points are alot easier on your body. Im going to try this method next time i have a headache.
Good topic, especially with Finals being a little over a month away. Craming does give most people and me included a pretty decent headache. G
I actually have found this to be true when I get my deep tissue massages. They finish off with the neck and head. By hitting on the nerve endings on the neck and top of the head. Works great and feels good too. It probably feels better when someone else is doing it for you, because they will be able to get a little more pressure on it.
This is very interesting and the next time i get a headache i will try this. i usually just drink some water and go on with my life when i get a headache because it is nothing compared to the migraines that i get all the time. i bet that this method works but i am sure that if somone else does it for you it will work a whole lot better. good blog, interesting, but keep in mind that when you take pills for your headaches its the glass of water that helps your headaches not the pills. Just drink water!
I have also heard that pressure points can relieve headaches. If these pressure points work it will help out in multiple ways: By getting the headache away and saving money by not spending it on Advil or other medications. Next time I get a headache I am definitely trying these methods.
