Chocolate is something that people don’t usually look at as a healthy thing to eat now it can be. With chocolate containing over 500 natural chemicals like, Phenylethylamine, Caffeine, and Theobromine, it contains many vital minerals.
Dark chocolate and cocoa can aid the cardiovascular system by increasing blood flow and lowering blood pressure. In a recent test 45 adults had their blood pressure tested before and after eating dark chocolate. Just two hours after eating the chocolate the all the subjects blood pressure dropped and blood flow increased. Well these are only short term effects, long term effects are still being determined.
Another thing that is great about chocolate is that it makes you feel good. This is not just a myth, Phenylethylamine (PEA) is a chemical found in chocolate known to release endorphins which makes you feel good. When in love our body releases these endorphins naturally. So next time you kiss your loved on pay attention to that feeling because chocolate is suppose to give a similar feeling.

A Can of Pop Could Make Your Drop
Soda, although very sweet and tasty has a very nasty personality. People need to know that soda is very bad for you on many different levels. We are about to embark on a new year and many of us are going to make new years resolutions, this is a perfect opportunity drop that can of soda.
Soda is especially bad for women who are at a higher risk of osteoporosis. With soda containing high levels of phosphorus it is in turn taking calcium out of our bones. Dr. Michael Murray from the Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine concluded, "It appears that increased soft drink consumption is a major factor that contributes to osteoporosis."
What comes along with weaker bones is obesity, now I am no genius but should heavier people have stronger bones that can support the extra weight. It has been said that for every additional soda that is consumed you are 1.6 time more likely to become obese.
There are two different types of soda drinkers the ones that love soda and don’t really care about it not being healthy, then there are the soda drinkers that drink diet because they think its healthier. Truth be told diet soda is worse then regular soda. It turns out that 1 liter of an aspartame sweetened beverage will contain 56 milligrams of methanol. If you are the type of person that consumes at least one diet beverage a day you could be putting 32 times the EPA limit and essentially poisoning your body.
BOTTOM LINE PUT DOWN THE POP!!!!!!!!

Reading a Book......good for your brain bad for your eyes
Reading is something that is great for your mind, it increases vocabulary, spelling, etc, but how is it affecting your eyes? personally I have a mom that reads everyday for a few hours and she is nearsighted, my father same deal, just a coincidence right? Nope
Studies have shown that myopia or nearsightedness affects 30% of the us population and its leading cause of progression is near-point stress. Examples of near-point stress are reading books, working on the computer, or anything up close.
"There is also growing evidence that nearsightedness may be caused by the stress of too much close vision work. It normally first occurs in school age children. Since the eye continues to grow during childhood, nearsightedness generally develops before age 20..." (American Optometric Association)

Thinning hair......try giving the hat a break.
The question is can a man become bald by just wearing his hat all the time? Research has shown that wearing a hat all the time can affect a mans hair, but will it make him go bald. The answer is no, but at the same time it isn’t doing your hair any good either.
The bottom line is that baldness has everything to do with your genes and basically nothing to do with you wearing a hat. The gene is called androgenic alopecia, or male pattern baldness, has a 100% chance of causing baldness.
By wearing a hat all the time you are not allowing enough circulation to the scalp. Because of this sweat can clog up pores and cause your hair to grow slower or maybe stop it altogether. So if you want that thick head of hair make sure to wear your hat sparingly.

Kids...our choice or our phones?
Cell phones emit low level radiation which was once thought to be harmless. Studies have since proved that this might be something that we want to look into much more closely.
A study was done with over 360 males divided into three groups, never used cell phone, less then two hours a day, more then four hours a day. This study showed shocking results that tests four categories, sperm count, motility, viability, appearance. To start, the study showed that the most frequent cell phone users has a 25% decrease in their sperm count on average in comparison to the males that never used a cell phone. Also a 1/3 decrease in the sperms ability to swim was found in frequent cell phone users. To top things off appearance was also effected with less the 1/5 of frequent cell phone users having normal looking sperm.
WHAT!!!!!!!!! that was my first thought after reading this. Before you freak out, first we have to realize that this is just a comparative test. There were a lot of variables that more then likely weren’t considered (smokers, foods and beverages consumed, etc.) that could lead to lower sperm count. Because of this we have to realize that these results probably aren’t 100% correct. I am not saying that this results aren’t true because I think they are but I believe that with a controlled test you might find the results to be a little higher or lower then these. Either way my cell phone just found a new home.....anywhere but my pocket!
